Our new baby girl !!

veronica was born to proud parents (yourschelbie and me) at 8:30 a.m. this past saturday morning, january 3rd.

she weighed in at almost 7 pounds (3.15 kg) , and is 18 inches (46 cm) long.

we're all doing fine.

i've always had a problem with the hebrew scriptures and the way god was portrayed.

it's like talkin' about 2 different gods.

on one hand you've got a petty, murderous, jealous, insecure sounding god (hebrew) and on the other you've got someone who is supposed to be the epitome of love.

BM, if you can get a copy of, 'The Divine Name That Will Endure Forever' 1984 copyright from a JW it will provide you secular information about YHWH, both Hebrew and Greek.

i have been reading the previous posts today and have noticed some pretty heated depates on politcs with, rightfully so, locked threads.. all of us on this board come from many different countries with different forms of goverments and benifits.

everybody thinks that they have the best and are willing to defend that view.

i would hate to see any of us lose "friendships" on this forum over debates that have no winners.. i enjoy posts from everybody that is involved in these discussions and would hate to loose the insights they provide on every other issue besides politics.

Political Discussions

i have been reading the previous posts today and have noticed some pretty heated depates on politcs with, rightfully so, locked threads.. all of us on this board come from many different countries with different forms of goverments and benifits.

everybody thinks that they have the best and are willing to defend that view.

i would hate to see any of us lose "friendships" on this forum over debates that have no winners.. i enjoy posts from everybody that is involved in these discussions and would hate to loose the insights they provide on every other issue besides politics.

Once you realize that dissent is a 'given.' why try to force your views on others? I enjoy points of views even if there off the wall, but it doesn't mean I subscribe to it. People who are 'especially' arrogant just need to be dismissed. These person's are set in their ways and nothing will budge them. I let them believe what they want to believe and I certainly am not going to lose any sleep over it!

My question to all on the forum is, are you active in your community's politics ? If you are, then you know exactly what I'm talking about.

There is politcs in everything. As I have commented before, the Dem. & Rep. are the same (even with all the crap they spew about each other) they have the same end goals, it's just a matter of who wants to drive the bus. Six0fnine said it, it's the powerful and rich politicians that set the agenda, the rest is a ruse.
